Zakaj/Why?

Zaradi velikih sprememb v naravi dela novinarjev in ostalih medijskih (so)ustvarjalcev, sprememb medijskih distribucijskih kanalov in sprememb novinarskih profilov. Ker moramo pogledati NAPREJ!

  • Ker želimo na enem mestu združiti in omogočiti prenos znanja, prenos idej, možnost spoznavanja medijskih (so)ustvarjalcev in neuradnih debat, ki se sicer ne razvijejo, pa bi se verjetno že zdavnaj morale.
  • Ker lahko novinarji, ostali medijski (so)ustvarjalci in medijske hiše pokažemo, da smo zavezniki, da težimo k temu, da svojim bralcem, poslušalcem in gledalcem skupaj ponudimo dobre izdelke.
  • Ker si skupaj želimo boljše medijske kulture v državi, kjer bo javnost za dober novinarski izdelek tudi plačala, oglaševalci pa bodo imeli za oglaševanje še večji interes.
  • Ker si medijski (so)ustvarjalci želimo novih znanj, pregleda dela in dobrih praks tujih kolegov, kar lahko vključimo tudi v svoje vsakodnevno delo.
  • Ker obstajajo dobre prakse tudi doma, le izpostaviti jih je treba in s tem locirati minimalne standarde kakovostnega izdelka.
  • Ker lahko na tak način širimo znanje na širšo javnost, ki postaja vse bolj aktivna udeleženka v produkciji medijski vsebin s t. i. državljanskim novinarstvom.
  • Ker želimo, da festival preraste naše meje in v nekaj letih postane osrednji regijski dogodek medijskih (so)ustvarjalcev, na katerem se bodo sklepala tudi “zavezništva” v širšem, balkanskem prostoru.

Because of big changes in the work of journalists and other media creators – the changes of media, distribution channels and journalistic profiles. Because we neet fo look ahead and move FORWARD!

  • Because we need a place to unite and enable exchange of knowledge and ideas, learning of eachothers practices and initiate (in) formal debates between journalists, other media creators and general public.
  • Because media houses and everyone working in the media should show the public that we are on the same page – on a common mission to provide quality content to our listeners, readers and viewers.
  • Because we need and want a higher level of media culture which will justify to the public why high-quality content deserves to be paid for and generate bigger interest of advertisers.
  • Because the creators of media need access to new contents, trends and information on good practices worldwide in order to improve the quality of our everyday work.
  • Because there are plenty of good practices also in Slovenia which have to be recognised and set as standards for good quality media content and approaches.
  • Because in this way, we can spread the knowledge to general public which is becoming increasingly involved in media production.
  • Because we want the festival to outgrow national boundaries and become a regional event to generate cooperations and networking in the Balkans.
